Game Recap

A back and forth game led to the Falcons pulling out a huge victory against Washington, pushing them to 2-0 on the season. The Falcons take on New Prairie in 2 weeks. Great job to the front 5 on offense pushing the Panthers defensive line around and dominating the game when they needed it.

Game Summary

1Q

The Falcons took the ball and capped off a long drive with Graysen Fansler scoring from 46 yards out. Jack Vukovits scored the 2 point conversion. Washington scored on their very first play on offense and the 2 pt conversion was stuffed by the Falcons. 8-6 Falcons

2Q

The second qtr saw the Falcons drive the distance of the field but turn the ball over on the Washington 1 yard line. Washington scored on the very next play with 18 seconds left in the half. 2 pt conversion was good. The half ended with Washington leading 14-8. The Falcons suffered a key loss as Graysen Fansler was taken away by ambulance with a neck injury.

The Falcons came out and stuffed the Panthers. They ended a long drive with a Christian McElwee TD followed by a 2 pt conversion by the same player. 16-14 Falcons

Washington scored on a long pass play and did not get the 2 pt conversion. The Falcons took over and put together a methodical drive. Brandon Becker threw a pass caught with 1 hand by Jack Vukovits on 4th and 7 to keep the drive alive. Jack scored and Brandon Becker converted the 2 pt conversion to make the score 24-20 with 56 seconds left. Brandon Becker made a game saving tackle on kick off. The Washington Panthers caught a pass and got the ball to the 5 yard line. After a stuff by the Falcons and a false start by the Panthers the clock struck 0.00 and the Falcons weathered the storm to come away with another victory. They stand 2-0 on the season.
