Game Recap

John Glenn’s JV team hosted SB Washington Saturday. The Falcons were impressive in all aspects of the game. The offense scored 34 points in the first half and defense only gave up 6 points for the game. A running clock in the second half shortened the game.

Zach Neiswender was a beast running the ball with 17 carries for 155 yards and 2 TDs. His front line of Matt Rice, Zack Szuba, CJ Lenig, Jalen Kaser and Blake Anderson cleared the way. Gino Scott contributed 10 carries for 27 yards and 1 TD. Garret West had 3 carries for 9 yards and 1-2 pt conversion. Nick Frankiewicz rushed 5 times for 6 yards and 1-2 pt conversion.

The Falcons passing game was working as well with Nick Frankiewicz completing 11 passes on 22 attempts for 125 yards and 2 TDs. Danny Taylor had 4 receptions for 56 yards and 2 TDs, Khori Barker had 3 for 42 yards and Garrett West had 4 for 27 yards.

The defense was dominating forcing 5 turnovers. Zach Nesiwender had 3 interceptions and 1 tackle. Mike Lawler had a fumble recovery and 2 tackles. Kaige Dixon had 1 sack and 3 tackles. Cale Hensley had 2 sacks and 2 tackles and John Glenn’s foreign exchange student “Bob” recovered an onside kick. The following Falcons had tackles as well: Khori Barker (2), Cody Tibbs (3), Aaron Sherman (2), John Ort (1), Weston Salyer (2), Ben Borkowski (3), Paco Gonzalez (1), Danny Taylor (1) and Gino Scott (1).

The Falcons improve their record to 4-2 and host the LaVille Lancers Saturday morning at 10:00 am.
