Week 1 vs. Boone Grove
Offensive Line Player of The Game- John Ort, played Center and was a leader up front making O Line calls and helped the team rush for 153yds and 3 touchdowns, as well as the O Line not allowing a sack all game.
Offensive Back Player of The Game- Phil Marek, had 7 carries for 21yds and rushed for 2 touchdowns and did an excellent job blocking all night long.
Front 5 Defensive Player of The Game- Tucker Ennis, played Nose Guard and caused problems for Boone Grove and demanded a double team all night long and allowed for our Linebackers to make plays.
Back 6 Defensive Player of The Game- Cam Creed, played Outside Linebacker and led the team in tackles with 11, had 1 sack and was all over the field making plays for the Falcons Defense.
Special Teams Player of The Game- Samuel Thomas, as a freshman and never playing football before, Samuel “Mr. Automatic” calmly stepped up with guys in his face and was 3 for 3 on his PATs.
Dude of The Week- John Ort & Nate Blodgett– This was a tough decision because both players had a great week of practice, were leaders on both sides of the ball and were recognized by staff members at school for their great behavior inside the classroom. As a staff, we decided to award the Dude of The Week to both players because they were deserving of it.
Offensive Outstanding Player of The Game- Trevor Weiss, started at slot and played very well and then came in at QB in the second half and gave us a spark that allowed us to take the lead and never look back. Trevor was 3 of 6 passing for 65yds, had 8 carries for 23yds and rushed for 1 touchdown.
Defensive Outstanding Player of The Game- Nate Blodgett, was the leader of the defense and helped shutout Boone Grove in the second half. Nate had 8 tackles on the night and was asked to spy the QB in the second half and kept the QB from gaining anymore rushing yards. Also, came through and blocked a PAT.
