The middle school basketball teams traveled to Argos for a road contest against the Dragons. The 7th grade was victorious by the score of 29-25. Both teams played even through the 1st half but Urey locked down defensively to hold Argos to 10 points in the 2nd half. Leading the way for Urey was Eli Lang with 12 points, Rylee Johnson with 8 and Kaylee Hensler coming up big from the free throw line in the 4th quarter hitting 4 out of 5 free throws to seal the win. The Lady Falcons next game will be at home as a 7th AB game against LaPorte Kesling on Wednesday.
The 8th graders fought through a sluggish start but could not overcome the 17-10 deficit they were in at half. They used a late push to get the game close but could not pull out the victory at Argos. Aubrey Rizek, Carlye Ort, and Mia Hooten led the scoring for Urey with Hayley Arick, Sophie Strange, and Kennedy Hayden each chipping in 2 points each. Next up is another road contest at Kesling on Wednesday evening.
