The Urey Lady Falcons picked up two wins last night against Knox. The 7th graders won 42-18 behind the 1-2 offensive punch of Eli Lang and Sophie Romer who led all scorers with 16 and 14 points, respectively. Urey shutdown any hope of a comeback from the visitors from Knox by scoring 15 points in the third quarter, capped off by a buzzer-beater three from Kaylee Hensler. Next up for the 7th graders will be a road contest at Plymouth on March 11th.
The 8th graders traveled to Knox for their win last night 34-19. They raced out to a 22-9 half time lead against the host Lady Redskins. Mia Hooten scored early and often to pace the Lady Falcons with a season high 25 points. The girls will host St. Pius on Thursday as part of a 7th B team, 8th grade A team double header. Tip off will be 5 o’clock at Urey on Thursday.
