Falcons News · Coach Nadolny Captures 500th Career Win


On Wednesday, April 3rd, Head Baseball Coach John Nadolny picked up a significant milestone as he collected his 500th Career Win with a 5-1 victory over the #10 ranked LaVille Lancers.  Coach Nadolny, also known by his players and closest friends as “Nud”, is in his 26th season as a Head Baseball Coach.  John graduated in 1981 from South Bend Riley and went on to play college baseball at Bethel College.  His coaching career began at his Alma Mater, South Bend Riley, where he coached for 8 seasons and accumulated a record of 144-77.  Since then he has been at the helm at John Glenn in his 18th campaign where his active record is now 356-166 putting him at the 500 win mark.  Coach Nadolny has sent 40 players on to play college baseball as well as two players, Josh Glenn and Andy Groves, taken in the MLB Player Draft.  Most recent players and 2018 graduates of John Glenn, Robbie Berger, Mike Machnic, and Mason Ryans are all playing college baseball at their significant schools.  Besides 500 wins, Coach Nadolny has quite a list of accomplishments over the course of his career including 9 Sectionals, 4 Regionals, and 1 Final Four appearance along with his 9 Conference Championships.  He is an 8 time conference Coach on the Year, as well as being a 4 time district Coach of the Year.
